i LOVE this - both the beautiful song, beautiful location, and the train videos - made me happy! I WAS THERE! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tipune...and love the train/scenery. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCool song. As I was listening, I couldn't help thinking how the style, lyrics felt so much like country music.
ReplyDeleteI think you should do a post on how many songs out there have the title "Glory Bound." As I clicked on the video, I wondered - would it be a cover of the Grass Roots version? The Martin Sexton one?
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous setting for a beautiful song. The addition of the train in the video was just about perfect.
ReplyDeleteSuch an uplifting song. Love her voice!
ReplyDeleteI have a version of the Wailin Jennys singing this song, and love it. It's neat to hear someone else's take on it. Who wrote it, Smith or the Jennys?
ReplyDeleteMelanie,
ReplyDeleteRuth Moody wrote it. I know she was with the Jemmys. not sure if she is still.
Smith is a fine songwriter though, although this isn't one of hers. For the Songs of Praise show she was asked to come up with suggestions for songs that ahd to to with journeys as well as with faith, and this is one of those she offered.
Beautiful! Love her crystal clear voice.
ReplyDeletePretty and soulful - thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to go to Scotland. This video makes me desperate to get there.
