One of our favorite Detroit area events is the Concert of Colors diversity and world music fest. Take place mid-July, and Don Was puts together a great Detroit All-Star Revue spotlighting the city's talent across genres and generations.
It's a real celebration of the city's spirit.
I recently had the opportunity to interview Was and blogged that earlier this month. Can't wait to see the concert :)
We took the boat down the lake to a live concert in the park last weekend. It was wonderful to sit on the boat with my feet dangling in the water and listen to music, even if it was covers of hits from the 70s!
