Creative practice: context, part two
Revisiting the idea of creative context again, or rather, creativity in context. Music is by nature both solitary and collaborative art. The solo artist yet will share music with listeners; the musician who plays in the largest orchestra yet needs time to bond with the music on his or her own. Both eternal parts of the equation, and the sharing, and each with moments of discovery. In the winter season, there's time for both walking alone with music in the head and heart, and for sharing music in the kitchen and the concert hall. And sometimes, you get moments like this one.
