creative practice: landscapes again
the power of place may work in majesty, or through intimacy, or surprise, or familiarity. loads of tunes and songs anchored in human connection to place: Leaving Liverpool (which has been translated to many other cities), Carrickfergus, Alberta Bound, Leaving West Virginia, By the Rio Grande, Louisiana Road Song, The Greenfields of Canada (or America), Homes of Donegal, Farewell Nova Scotia, Rathlin Island (1847)...and they all are very different. If any of those titles are not familiar to you, look them up and you will be rewarded -- and also make your own list and consider what that may tell you.
